We are grateful to all those who offer to give
talks, workshop, demonstrations or performances at Festival
of Life. In response to feedback to scale up the festival, we
considered going to a second day, but this presents logistical
problems for stall-holders providing fresh food, as well as
a small management team, so we are expanding out into Red Lion
Square, with permission from Camden Council. In this space we
hope that we can provide a good programme of entertainment for
families, and give more prominence to Permaculture, and provide
more space for Healing. The programme as it develops can be
accessed via this website.
Please note that this is a not-for-profit event,
which is an affiliated project of the Permaculture Association.
We require all participants to be vegetarian or at least not
be opposed to vegetarian/ vegan lifestyles in principle. If
you are unsure whether your presentation is suitable, please
discuss it with Chris 02392-611607 (talks/workshops) or Alex07914
489447 (performances) before offering to participate.
Due to lack of funding, we are unable to pay
commercial rates for this service. To avoid discrimination on
income grounds, minimal charges are made for entry to the festival
to cover the cost of the venue, publicity, organisation. Therefore
we hope that participants see this as an opportunity to perform
a self-less service for the benefit of the greater community
as well as promoting your own business. However, should participants
need it, Festival of Life, if pre arranged, may be able to offer:
up to £5 for travelling expenses within London or up to £15
greater London ( M25) or outside London, per organisation.
The Festival does provide participants with
free promotion in association with the event, on the website
and in the programme as well as free entry to the evening Party
of Dance and Celebration. In addition there an opportunity to
network and distribute your flyers on the day of the festival
(last year's festival had over 1200 attendees).
On arrival please check in at the reception desk,
which is situated in the entrance area, where you will be assisted
if you would like to be shown around the building or have any
last minute questions. Please note each speaker is allowed a maximum
one free guest if they are necessary to the assistance of
your talk and we must be notified of their name in advance

Sessions are for 45 minutes exactly including
time for Q & A's. This allows for only 15 minutes change over
time. Most talks are scheduled on the hour and you should be
able to gain entry to the room ten minutes beforehand. Therefore,
please vacate the room promptly for the next speaker at quarter
to the hour.
